Kathryn Furniss is a self-taught painter based in Nelson, New Zealand. She works in acrylic and ink, building up layered compositions that combine abstract washes with finer detailed strokes. Her subjects draw on the Pacific landscape and New Zealand native birds, with recurring themes of protection, journeys, and the connection between past and present.
