The KitchenAid Artisan Plus (KSM50) is a 325W tilt-head stand mixer with a 4.7L stainless steel bowl. It is the first KitchenAid mixer with a built-in bowl light, and it adds Precision Speed Control and a Double Flex Edge Beater to the classic Artisan design.

It keeps the familiar KitchenAid shape and full metal build. The changes are practical ones that make everyday mixing easier to see and control.

What’s New on the Artisan Plus

Integrated Bowl Light

A light in the mixer head switches on automatically when the head is lowered. It lights up the bowl, so it’s easy to check a mix without stopping the machine.

Precision Speed Control

There are 11 speeds, and the control glides smoothly between them. Soft Start eases into each speed to limit splatter when ingredients go in.

Half Fold Speed

A dedicated half fold speed sits below the lowest setting. It’s for gently folding in whipped egg whites, cream or chocolate chips without knocking out air.

Double Flex Edge Beater

This beater has flexible silicone edges on both sides. It scrapes the bowl as it turns, so there’s less stopping to push the mix down with a spatula.

Tilt-Head and Planetary Mixing

The head tilts back to fit the bowl and swap tools. Planetary mixing action moves the beater around the whole bowl for an even mix.
