Kai Shun Premier Paring Knife 100mm
The Shun Premier Paring Knife 100mm is a small Japanese paring knife for peeling, trimming and detail work. It has a VG-MAX Damascus blade with a hand-sharpened 16° edge.
What Is a Paring Knife Used For?
A paring knife handles the small, precise jobs. It peels and trims fruit and vegetables, makes decorative cuts and chops small foods such as garlic and shallots. The short blade gives close control, and the contoured handle works in a standard or pinch grip.
About Shun Premier
Shun Premier knives have thin, light blades for fast, nimble handling. Each blade has a VG-MAX steel core clad in 34 layers of stainless Damascus on each side. A wavy line called a hamon forms where the steels meet. The hand-hammered tsuchime finish helps food release from the blade.
