Kai Shun Premier Utility Knife 160mm
The Shun Premier Utility Knife 160mm is a mid-sized all-purpose knife for smaller prep jobs. Its VG-MAX Damascus blade sits between a paring knife and a chef’s knife.
What Is a Utility Knife Used For?
A utility knife covers the tasks too big for a paring knife and too fine for a chef’s knife. Use it to trim green beans and broccoli, slice tomatoes, or cut meats and cheese for sandwiches. This is why the style is sometimes called a sandwich knife.
About Shun Premier
Shun Premier knives have thin, light blades for fast, nimble handling. Each blade has a VG-MAX steel core clad in 34 layers of stainless Damascus on each side. A wavy line called a hamon forms where the steels meet. The hand-hammered tsuchime finish helps food release from the blade.
