A microfibre tea towel featuring Piercing the Darkness, an original artwork pairing the kōtuku | white heron with seven New Zealand moths.

The kōtuku is New Zealand’s white heron, a tall wading bird best known here for how rarely it is seen. The artwork sets it against night-flying moths, which the title picks up on.

The moths run bottom to top through the design, starting with the forest porina and finishing with the flax widow-maker.
