A boxed set of four cork-backed oval placemats, each featuring a different New Zealand native bird artwork in the pietra dura style.

Pietra dura is an inlay technique in which cut stone is fitted together to build up an image. The four artworks here are curated in that style, so the birds and foliage read as assembled shapes with hard edges rather than as soft painted illustration.
