The Bread Steel is a 2.5kg solid steel baking surface that sits on your oven rack to deliver strong, even heat for home bread baking.

Made from solid steel, the Bread Steel heats quickly and holds that heat well, giving loaves good oven spring and a reliable bake. At 2.5kg it is the lighter of the two Brod and Taylor steels, so it is easy to lift in and out of the oven for everyday baking.

It arrives pre-seasoned with flax oil, so there is no preparation needed before the first bake. Place the steel in the oven while it preheats, and once the oven reaches temperature it is ready to use.
