IMS Precision 12g -18g Portafilter Basket
A precision cut 58mm stainless steel espresso filter basket with uniform micro-perforations for even water flow and more consistent extraction.
The filter basket holds the ground coffee inside your portafilter, and its hole pattern decides how evenly water moves through the puck. IMS cuts theirs to a tight, uniform spacing. That reduces channeling, so extraction is more even and the shot tastes more balanced in the cup.
A 12g to 18g basket is the standard double shot range, and it suits traditional medium and darker roasts along with lower dose espresso profiles. Darker and medium roasts are less dense and more soluble than light roasts. A 15g to 18g dose reaches a rich, balanced extraction in this format without the deep headspace or very fine grind adjustments that lighter modern roasts tend to need.
The basket is made from food grade AISI 304 stainless steel, so it resists corrosion and holds its shape over years of daily service. It fits E61 standard group heads and a wide list of commercial and prosumer machines.
