Description

The Shun Classic Granton Slicing Knife’s long and extremely sharp blade enables thin slicing of meat, ham and fish with a single slice. Perfect for sashimi. The granton (or scalloped blade) eases cutting and helps separate food from the blade.

Handcrafted in Japan, Shun knives feature supersharp blades and comfortable handles that provide excellent support and control.

Each Shun knife blade features a special VG-MAX cutting core that is clad each side with 34 ultra thin layers of high carbon stainless steel (total 69 layers). The Damascus type pattern emerges during the initial hand grinding process and is completed with tiny beads of glass being blasted at the steel to produce a stunning finish.

Shun’s high quality cladded steel retains the flexibility and strength to take and keep a perfect edge ground at a fine 16° per side. Handles are made from durable ebony coloured PakkaWood that are moisture resistant and are specially D shaped to ergonomically fit to your hand.

NSF certified for use in commercial kitchens. Shun knives are provided with a limited warranty from manufacturing defects.
