Digital kitchen scales with two weighing platforms in one body: a 10,000g platform reading in 1g steps and a 200g platform reading in 0.1g steps.

Dough recipes ask for two very different kinds of measurement. Flour and water run into the hundreds or thousands of grams, while salt and yeast are measured in fractions of a gram. Most scales handle one job well and the other badly.

Two platforms solve that. The large one takes the bulk ingredients, the small one resolves to 0.1g for yeast, salt and anything else where a gram either way changes the outcome. Both read in grams or millilitres.
